The Ascension: The Art of Jonathan Lowe

Jonathan Lowe is an artist that hails from the Sacramento region.  His realm of expertise is traditional oil painting and watercolor.  What inspires his themes are raw emotions such as pain and joy.  It is through experience and the suffering in this life that humans can understand one another. Jonathan’s works can be explained as a blend of figurative surrealism. As he uses both portray and tell stories.   Jonathan’s work can be found in the Blue Lines Art Gallery or Archival Gallery.

My mission in art has changed over the years.  But the one that has stuck with me the most is to search for truth at all cost, and to express it in any form possible.  

The first men were visionary artisans, armed with a profound understanding of the cosmos but were cave paintings.  But the oldest stories are linked to our ancestors, to our cultures, to the cosmos, to the stars.  '

I wish for you to join me on this journey as I explore this territory of the unknown on this short journey we call existence. I hope you will experience this with me.
