The search for truth is one of many virtues of the world. Odin the norse god of mythology sacrificed his eye for truth for clarity.

“And at every passage. One shall turn his eye round. One should spy round. For a foe might be crouched upon the floor.

Wise in measure should each man be, yet wise enough to be the fool.”

Corruption Thou Art My Father

The church, the Roman authoritarian imperial religion that took over the world, yet for all its glory it is a far cry from the original teachings of the one they claim to worship.

Humans created language that formed meaning. And from language they create black and white fallacies that separate the elite from the lower class. This makes it hard for outsiders to think differently from the cults world view.

And Modern society has done this through corporate speak, through the colonization of language. With a piece of paper that legalizes the someone’s authority over you. It is force wrapped in paper.

And yet if you study both sides of the coin, you could see Christianity take the side of virtue as what can one do from the side of one that is oppressed. The ideals of resentment from slaves as opposed to the roman masters as Fredrick Nietzsche would say.

The search for meaning was co'-opted and assimilated in various forms of hierarchies called religion. Morality is a brand, Spirituality is a brand. Virtue is now an authoritarian tool used to control the masses through use of narrative and story telling.

In the old days the barbarians terrorized the weak, so the weak found a way to fight back with virtue. They installed consciousness.

But if you think of it the barbarian and priest express themselves in the same manner but with a different brush. One uses the sword and other with language.

Gluttony one of the seven deadly sins is about the gratification of the the flesh and the self indulgence that follows. When it comes to food focused gluttony, we are evolved slower than the world around us. And so no matter how hard we strive, there is something ingrained in us that is impulsive, obsessive, self destructive habits that we can’t avoid no matter how far we try.

The Farewell

Christianity’s belief revolves around the sacrifice of a perfect person, one who wasn’t born in sin. The metaphor of an innocent lamb led to be slaughtered to pay for one’s sins is central to Christianity as the ultimate sacrifice and redemption and fulfillment of prophecy.

The obsession of suffering might be a Christian ideology although not exclusive. When it comes to suffering if we play by the Christianity narrative, Does God the creator delight in suffering or is it in his nature? Is it more blasphemous to not partake in God’s nature or to rather indulge in it?

RESPECT

I remember my grandfather who slaved away at a butcher parlor in a Chinese shop and he worked his hands to the bone. He worked till he became exhausted and his wife chewed his ass out right afterwards. The system chewed him up and spat him back out. All he wanted was a little respect.
